GARROS CAPTURES A TAUBE
FRENCH AIRMAN'S COOL . DARING ("Times" and Sydney "Sun"- Serrices.) • (Rec. November 16, 5.15 p.m.) London, November 15. Citizens of Amiens were terrorstiricken on the, arrival of a Taube aeroplane, which was greeted with a slower or bullets, while the inhabitants took refuge in cellars, and the French infantry blazed away in impotent fury. The Taube then commenced gracefully to volplane, and the mystified soldiers lowered their rifles and approached the v machine for tho purpose of arresting the German. Instead, tho French aviator, M. Garros, stepped out! Garros explained that while he was reconnoitring his engine failed, and he was chased by a Taube. Hβ descended and pretended to be a victim of the disaster. Awaiting the descent* of, the Taube, he rose lip, shot the pilot With his revolver, gave his own maohine to the care of a friendly farmer, mounted the Taube, and returned.
