—: —» WORSER BAY CLUB. The fourth annual report and balance•heet of the Worser Bay Amateur Swimming and Life Saving Club congratulates members on the strong position the club has maintained during the past season. The races brought forth keen competition, and the club was well represented at soveral swimming carnivals hold during the year. The membership was now 221, comprising 161 sonior members, and 60 juniors. With the assistance of the Miramar BorCouncil and the Royal Life Saving Society, continues tho report, the, club will have next season a life-saving reel of 'the latest ■ pattern, a necessary equipment for its exposed position. The thanks of tho club were due to those members who contributed items to club concerts, particularly the members. . of tho Seatoun Comedy Club, and also to the 'adies' committee for their spelndid work in providing the suppers. The club has now the one hundred chairs aimed at last year, mostly donated by residents. There was, however, a balance of £6 owing on these, and any members not having contributed a chair, and feeling disposed to donate to this fund, are asked to communicate with the secretary. Several members, including the patron, Mr. W. H. D. Bell, M.P., and Messrs. F. de Rose and' C. Tothill, members of the committee, were at present absent from New Zealand, having gone away with the First New Zealand Expeditionary Force. The club commended their action, and trusted they would make, an early return in the best of health. The club regretted the death of Mr. J. L. Mackie, who had rendered the club valuable service in the past. The thanks of the club were also duo to tho following who presented trophies and donations: —Messrs. W. H. D. Bell, M.P., C. J. Crawford; J. Brodie, J. A. Cleland, C. A. Schauer, W. P. M'Girr, F. Silver, C. B. Bowie, W. W. Rowntree, J..A. Fuller, F. T. Warring, C. S. and P. Cording, Stewart Hardware Co., the Miramar Borough Council, Seatoun Comedy Club v and Mrs. M, L. Brailsford. Tho thanks of the club were also due to its honorary solicitor, Mr. V. R. Meredith, for advice given during the year. The balance-sheet of the club shows an excess of assets over liabilities of £150 12s. sd. .
