The secretary of tlio Now Zenland Moderate Leaguo states that the petition circulated for public signature praying that the general elections be postponed on account of the war is receiving an equal support in other centres to that accorded it in Wellington. The Auckland branch Tcports having secured 2500 signatures on the first day's circulation, while the first instalment of tho Duncdin petition, numbering sonic 2000, is on tho way up. Mr. A. H. Hindmarsh, M.P., will present the second instalment of the Wellington petition, to> _djy, jst»llins 8500.
