AUSTRIANS AGAIN DEFEATED PRISONERS MASSACRED (Rec. August 30, 5.6 p.m.) ■~ . Nlsh, August 28. During the Servian advance on Shabatz the Austriaris attempted a sortie, but were dispersed. After sanguinary bayonet encounters the' Servians', passing over the enemy's dead, seized posi-" tions dominating Shabatz. The Austnans evacuated the town, and the Servians, on entering, found that all the prisoners had teen massacred with' incredible savagery. TVio battlefiold of Jadar was heaped with Austrian dead, and 660 were buried in a common grave. appeal to tho Swiss resident in the United States to aid the Swiss families' who havo beon impoverished by tho necessity of keeping tho Swiss army fully mobilised. Switzerland is feeling the responsibility heavily.
