The mail steamer Orvieto has arrived here, and Sir Oliver Lodge, the eminent scientist, is ' a passenger. Interviewed, Sir Oliver said that .science had flourished because of the long spell of peace. He believed in war if it was fought over something he was especially interested in. Il seemed to him the whole trouble was caused by a little bother in Servia.'
