Tho secretary reported that 'four . , more names had been received from citizens who' were prepared to accom- : modafco tlio ' visitors.;' This/ : made 41 , names in all. More offers were wanted, • however, as there were about 100 visitors to be accommodated. An executive committee; consisting of Mesdames W. H. D. Bell','J. P. Luke, ' ■ and E. F. Hadfield,'tojrether with two members of the Reception Committee, Professor Laby and Mr. G. Hogben, was set ,up'to arrange the allocation of tho guests. . • ■ ■■ ■ It was decided to add the names of Dr. Prender?ast Knicht and Mr. A. H. . . Miles to the Hospitality and Recep- • tion Committees. • .Dr.* Prendergast Knight and Professor Laby were appointed to act as a .'motor-car sub-commilitce. Other matters in connection with the '. arrival of the distinguished visitors, • such as. their reception and' entertainment, were informally discussed.
