ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
ILLEGITIMATE CHILD'S DEATH. (By Toleeraph—Proas As«ool*.tlon.) Auckland, May 29: At the inquest on tho body of a newly-born child, a statement made ; to the police by tho mother of the child, Mary Agnes' Brown, was put in. She stated she was a single woman, twentyfive years of age. She admitted that she gave birth to a child; it was dead, and she put it in a dress basket. IDo Coroner found that the death of tho child resulted from haemorrhage or exposure, owing to the absence or 6kuleu assistance. CONTACT WITH CIRCULAR SAW. Thomas Carter, a married man, residing at 70 Kent Terrace, and employed by the Jarrah Timber Co., was admitted to the Hospital last night suffering from a badly _ lacerated hand. Tho injury was sustained through contact with'a circular saw.
