The City Council resolved last, night: "That the application of the Maranui Surf and I.he Saving Club .for the use of the I/vall Bay beach on Easter Monday afternoon, with pennus.sioi! to foiio ■off a.psftioji o.f the beach, excluding the public; balhinu-sheds, -aiid,.a:lso to tako iijv a'coHeetipn, should be- granted, subject to the City Engineer, and eu-sto&iiii being satisfied that tlio public will not bo nnueeessaiitj restricted."
