'A special meeting of the Hutt -Borough Council 'will bo held to-morrow evening at the request of the Mayor (Mr. E. P. Bunny) to consider the following notices of motion by him:—"(1) That the consent of the ratepayers be asked to a loan of'£27oo for the purchase of about six acres of land adjoining tho Recreation Ground for recreation purposes; and (2) that tho council purchase a motor-vehicle for fire brigade purposes at a cost of about £420." :'■''•
