Villa announces that he expects to capture the position' within a couple of days.
Iho four days' fighting in the neighbourhood of ths/subm-baii district of Oomez Palacio was the fiercest-in the history of .Mexico. After a series of assaults, involving heavy losses on both sides, the Federals withdrew inside Torreon.
Heat, hunger, and thirst caused many deaths amongst the wounded Constitutionalists, but Villa's soldiers showed marvellous spirit.
