The' balance-sheet submitted. at the annual meeting of-the Napier Operatic Society last : night showed a cash credit of £3 ,15s. 9d., and a surplus of assets over liabilities of £100 16s. sd. Wesleyan ■■ Church, Hastings, Miss Edith Jane Gradwell, youngest daughter of Mrs. Gradwell, of Hastings, was'married to-Mr'.. E. D. Wyatt, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. \ Wyatt. A number of stud Shorthorn bulls Srom Maraekakaho Station ■ were shipped yesterday afternoon for Wellington for transhipment to Sydney for tho Royal Show which takes place on April 7. The consignment consists of/two Shorthorns under 18 months,,; by' Copper King, Others dro:,Tartan/King, who took first prize'at the'last Spring Show, first prize, at the Wairarapa Show and first at •Palmorston. North; Lord Iwmond,who took third prize at the last show, anil Ormond's King ' (19 months), Ben Naver; and Ben Viking, by Ben Ortnond.
