CARTERTON NEWS
The committee appointed by the Carterton Borough Council for the purpose of gaining information'regarding a krtrii hall for Carterton have submitted' the following report:—(l) That- a town hall ho huilt; (2) that municipal offices be included; (3) that the hsll shall seat about 1000 people, with- large Stage, aide rooms, dressing rooms, supper room, ctc.(4) provision for electrical plant. It has been decided that sketch piaiia and estimates for the work be arranged, and when all particulars. are available, that the same, bo placed beiVre Iho ratepayers. , Mr. W. Porter, of Newtown, Wellington, has been appointed, assistant »fc the Carterton gasworks.
