THE START AT SEDDONVILLE. (By Tclesraph.—Press Association.) Westport, December 23. Delegates from tho coal miners' unions on tho Coast aro still sitting in conference considering matters in relation to resuming work. 'No decision was announced up to noon. The Union Company intimated to tho miners' representatives: "We aro going to protect ourselves with regard to coal. Arrangements .aro now in train whereby wo can immediately closo an order for sufficient to keep us going for some months." Thirty men at tho Seddonville State mino commenced work this, morning loading slack into trucks to supply a Union Company order. Threo shifts will bo worked. It is understood that tho men aro ready to enter tho mines when tho whistle blows. Tho Westport Coal Company has posted notices at its mineß inviting applications for employment under the Arbitration Act.
