The nowly-formcd Wairarapa Polo Olub opened its season at To Ore Ore ou Saturday, in the presenco of „a largo gathering of spectators, including . a considerable number of ladies. Tho initial game wa3 played between selected teams, and tho display was very attractive. Mr. P. Harrison acted as umpire. Rayner havo been elected delegates of tho Wairarapa Contro of tho Now Zealand Amateur Athletic Society to tho conference to bo held in Auckland in January. At tho last fortnightly competition of tho Opaki Riflo Club, Mr. H. B. Liddle was the most successful shot in tho Thursday squad, and Mr. A. V. Swanson in the Saturday. Tho following team has been selected to represent the Opaki Rifle Club at tho Auckland Exhibition riflo meeting:— Riflemen G. Hydo, A. J. Cameron, F. Bolton, H. E. Jones, F. Minton, and A. V. Swanson. —
