AMPLE GUARD FOR WORKERS (Br TeleeraDh.—Press Association.) Auckland, December 22. Tlio new union formed at Huntly lias a membership of over 50, and an agreement with the company was filed to-day. "We intend resuming early ill January," said Mr. E. W. Alison, chairman of directors, to-day. "Ample protection will bo afforded tho men.resuming work by regular police, and, if necessary, by special constables. I am pleased to bo' ablo to state that tho farmers are prepared, jiofc only to protect the TyorktVs, but, if required, to assist in the extraction of coal."
