N EW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS -FOR CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS. EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS, WELLINGTON-AUCKLAND. ADDITIONAL EXPRESS TRAINS, PALMERSTON NORTH-AUCKLAND. From 18th DECEMBER to 10th JANUARY, inclusive, Extra Express trains will run between Wellington, and Auckland as under:— , FOR AUCKLAND (Daily, except Sundays).—Wellington (Thorndon), dep. 12.35 p.m.; Auckland, arrive 7.55 a.m. On the (lays this train runs the 11.50 а.m. Auckland Express train will tako passengers from Wellington only for Taihapo and stopping stations beyond Taihape, and will not tako up passengers at any stopping station between PalmerEton North and Mercer (both inclusive). FOR WELLINGTON (Daily, except Saturdays).—Auckland, dep. 10.4 p.m.; Wellington (Thorndon), arr. 5.46 p.m. On the days that this train runs the 9.10 p.m. Auckland-Wellington express train will take passengers from Auckland only for Waiouru, Taihapo, and stopping stations beyond Taihape, and will not take up passenrers at any stopping station between Mercer and Palmerston North (both inclusive), except for and from Waiouru. The 12.35 p.m. Up Extra express train will connect at Frankton with train leaving that station for Rotorua at 5.10 a.m. on 24th, 25th, 26th,' and 31s£ December, and Ist and 2nd January. The Down Extra Express train leaving Auckland at 10 p.m. will connect at Frankton witli train leaving Rotorua for Frankton at 9.10 p.m. on 21th, 25th, 26tli, and 31st December, and Ist and 2nd January. Tho Extra Express trains will mako the same stops as the ordinary express trnins, and, in addition, will stop at Waimarino and Owhango for passengers if required. NOTE.—Tho last day on which .the extra express trains will leave Auckland will be 9th January. ■ The last day on which the extra express train will leave Wellington, will be 10th January. From 22nd December to 6th Januarv, inclusive, additional express trains will run between Palmerston North.and_ Auckland as under: — FOR AUCKLAND (Daily, cxcept Sundays).—Palmerston North, dep. 2.35 p.m.; Auckland, arr. fi.2o a.m. FOR PALMERSTON NORTH (Daily, ■except Saturdays).—Auckland, dep; 8.0 p.m.; Palmerston, nrr. 11.25 a.m. The Palmerston-Aucklaml and Auck-land-Palmerston additional express trains will make the same stops as tho ordinary express trains. WELLINGTON-WANGANUI RELIEF MAIL TRAINS. From 22nd DECEMBER to 6th JANUARY, inclusive (except • Sundays) Relief Mail trains, making the same stops as the ordinary Mail trains, will run between Wellington. (Thorndon) and Wanganui as Under:— FOR WANGANUl.—Wellington, dep. 8.17 a.m., Paekakariki 9.39; Palmerston North arr. 11.59 a.m., Wanganui arr. 4.24 p.m. FOR WELLINGTON (Thorndon).-Wa-nganu, dep. 12.40 p.m., Palmerston North dep. 4.10 p.m., Paekakariki 6.31, Johnson..ville 7.33, Wellington arr. 7.55 p.m. The Down relief mail train tfill also stop at Ngaio. /' NOTE.—On these days tho ' ordinary Wellington-New Plymouth Up and Down Mail trains will not take passengers for or from stations Wanganui, Aramoho, and south thereof, except that passengers for' Palmerston North and stations on Main Trunk line may travel by the ordinary Up Wellington-New Plymouth Mail. In addition to above, on the days tho Relief Mail trains run the ordinary Down New Plymouth-Wellington Mail train will not stop for passengers between palmerston North and Paekakariki except at Otaki. Passengers for stations at which the ordinary Down New Plymouth Mail train will mot stop must chaiga trains at Palmerston North. NOTE.—From 22nd DECEMBER to 6th JANUARY, inclusive, the WellingtonLyttelton Ferry steamer will bo delayed to leavo Wellington at 8.20 p.m. </■... NOTE.—From 22nd DECEMBER to Gth JANUARY,, inclusive (except the 7.50 a.m. train Wellington to Woodville will tako up passengers from Wellington, Petone, and Lower Hutt only for Masterton, and stopping stations north of Masterton, and will not stop to take up or Ret down passengers beiveeii Upper Hutt and Solway. inclusive. Passengers from "Upper Hutt-Solwav, inclusive, for north of Masterton should on these dates (except Ist January—see special time-table) travel to Masterton by the train leaving Upper 'Hutt 7.37 a.m.,' Featherston 9.30 a.m., Groytown 9.32 a.m., Carterton 10.19 a.m., and join the through train at Masterton.
