Lord Willoughbv do Broke (Warwickshire Yeomanry), speaking at Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire, said that if sympathisers of resistance wcro unable to go to Ulster they should send a cheque and ho would buy arms to equip someone to go at tho proper time. Ho would decline to approach the Army officers and men regarding their attitude if ordered to shoot Ulstermen. The Army was the best judge of what course to take. IRISH MACE AND CHAIR. The Mace and the Chair belonging to Mr. John Foster, tho last Speaker of tho Irish House of Commons, have been removed to the residence of his descendant, Lord Masscrene, from tho National Museum at Dublin, to which it had been loaned. The Government has been advised that the arms proclamations which were gazetted on December 5, prohibiting the importation of arms, aro ultra vires, and cannot be sustained.
