Tho Cjoservative anti-Semite _ newspaper violently assails tho _ judicial authorities, especially the Public Prosecutor, in connection with tho so-called ritual murder trial. It contends that the charge against Beiliss (indicted for the murder of the Christian boy Ynstchinsky in April, 1912), accuses a whole religion of infamous superstition. It adds that however advantageous and necessary, from a party standpoint it may bo to prove tho existenco of ritual murders, tho prosecution is not entitled to undertake the task of supplying a living object.' (Rec. October 12, 5.6 p.m.) Kleff, October 12. The nowspaper "Kievlianin" has been confiscated for having compared Beiliss —tho Jewish clerk who is under trial for the murder of tho Christian boy ( Yushchinsky—with Dreyfus, and stating that Beiliss was being treated like a raVbit on the vivisection tablo. Other papors are being fined and confiscated daily. The evidence at tho trial included that of fourteeii of Yushchinsky'a schoolfellows, but this testimony was of not muoh .account. Two of them stated that tho police threatened them with imprisonment unless they altered their testimony concerning the date when they last saw Yushchinsky.
