(From Our Special Correspondent.) 9 , At St. James's HaU, Lower Hutt, oil Saturday, a presentation was made to Mrs. Jackson, who is resigning from tho Anglican Choir. Tho liov. J. Jones referred to tho many years of valuable service rendered to the Church by Mrs. Jackson, and asked her to accept (on behalf of the congregation) a Morris chair as a token of esteem. Tho Pctono Working Men s Club gavo an entertainment to children in tho Drill Hall 011 Saturday afternoon, about 500 children being present. The Pctone Municipal Band • held a sacred concert at the Lyceum Theatre last evening. Itcius were rendered by Miss N. Foster and Mr. A. H. Robins, and Mv. Herbert Brigjs gave "Tho Star of Bethlehem" as a trombone solo. Lieut. T. Herd was the musical conductor, and Mr. N. 'C. Bradley accompanist. A largo audience assembled at Pctono Sulv.ition Army Barracks yesterday, wlira Major lvirk conducted the twenty-fifth anniversary services.
