GISBORNE TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! Gisborne, June 26. The Gisborne Boxing Association tourney opened to-night. The results are feather-weight: N. Bennetts (Auckland) beat A. Parkinson (Gisborne) on points; A. Adair . (Gisborne) bent J. Sutherland' (Gisborne) on points; semifinal, H. Ireland (W'aipawa) beat Bennett*. Welter final: J. Mitchell (Auckland) boat G. Richardson (Gisborno) on paints. Light-weight: W. Ireland (Wairnm) beat F. Bliss (Waikato). . Bliss knocked Ireland down for. eight in the first round, but Ireland practically knocked Bliss out in the third with, a heavy right to the point. The referee stopped the fight. V. Frure (Gisborne) beat J. Buroh (Gisborne) in two rounds. Heavyweight: P. M'Quarrio (Southland) beat 11. Sandow (Auckland) on' points. Middleweights: Cato (Gisborne) -beat O'Connor (Gisborne) on points; J. Mitchell (Auckland) beat T. Long (ChristchuTch) on points, _________
