SPORTING LIBEL ACTION.

The Appeal Court lias ordered Robert Sievier, owner of the sporting journal the "Winning Post," to furnish particulars of his defence in the libel action -which Wootton, tho ex-Australian trainer, is bringing against him in connection with statements published in. the "Winning Post" to tho effect that Wootton and other trainers had conspired to decido tho winning and losing of races, and alleging that Woottpn directed his son and other apprentices to pull horses not backed by him, and that Wootton also ran half-trained horses when ho did not want them to win. _____________ i
