BOTTLING TOMATOES.
One of tho mcsit useful vegetables for bottling, as -well as one of the most simpla to preserve, is the tomato. Select small to medium-sized fruits of good shape, and arrange tightly in the "bottles whole. Fill with cold water, ndd a .teaspoonfill of salt to each pound of fruit, and steriliso till the water reaches boiling point. As in tho case of other vegetables, it is mcsit imperativo the bottles should be perfectly . Mr-tight, when it will bo found that they will remain; in good condition for almost any length of time.
