On tho Hutt and Potono bowling greens yesterday « larj;o number of players assembled, and friendly games were played. Somo of tho rinks played exciting fiuishes, and the day as a wholo proved very enjoyable. Oil Thursday afternoon, Mr. W. Wollett, who lias been in tho service of tlio Government for '35 years «t tlio I'etonb Workshops, and who retires on superannuation shortly) was presented by his fellow employees with a travelling bag and walking stick. Mrs. Wollett received a handbag. At the Lower Hutt Police Court yesterday morning, boforo Messrs. Chapman and James, J.P.'s, Arthur Mudgeway was oharged with using certain language. Accused was remanded till 10 o'clock this morniig.
