. (Bi- Telegraph—Press Association.) Chrlstchurch, March 15. At the Addington yards store sheep again formed the major portion of the yarding of stock, and there was a large attendance. Fat cattle sold irregularly, with prices slightly firmer. Storo i sheep, inpcr.ially ewes and lambs, sold well, and tliero was a, recovery in fat lamb prices in consequence of a small yarding, rat sheep opened firmer, wetliers showing an advance of Is. per head, l'igs showed 110 change ill prices. In store she.ep the following is the rango of prices Ewes, two-tooth, 16s. 2d. to 19s. 6d.; four-tooth, 17s. lOd. to 20s. 6d.; six-tooth, lEe. 3d. to 16s. 3d.; two, four, and sin-tooth, to 17s. lid.; four, six, and eight-tooth, 15s. to IBs. 2d.; four and six-tooth, to 17s. 7d.; six and eight-tooth, 13s. sd. to 17s. 3d.; eight-tooth, to 13s. 2d.; four-year-olds, lis. lOd. to 17s. 6d.; frcsli sound-mouth (medium), 14s. 10d.. to 165.; full and failingmouth, to lie- lid.; aged, fe. 7d. to as. lOd.: merinos, 3s. lid. to fe. Id. Lambs: Best forward rape sorts, 13s. 3d. to 15s. Id.; medium rape, 12s.' 6d. to 13s. 4d.; good average stores, _lis. 2d. to -lis. 10d.; medium fitoros,. There was a. fair entry of fat pigs. Choppers realised £3 10s. to £5 7s. fid.; heavy haconers, 05s. to 725.; lighter sorts, 555. to 645. These prices were equal to sd. to sid. per lb. Tho best porkers mario 42a. 6d. to <&3.. and lighter sorts 355. to 4Cs., equal to 53d. to 6d. per lb. Nineteen hundred and twenty-two fat Jambs were penned. Best lambs made 17s. Gd. to 21s. 9d., and lighter 14s. 2d. to 17s. About 1700 were taken for export. An entry of about 4000 fat sheep was penned, the bulk being ewes. Tho maruet opened firmer, butchers operating freely, as they had got so few lambs. Wethere showed an advance of Is. per head. Fat- cattle; The yarding of fat cattle aggregated 275 head, the current orice of beef being 225. 6d. to 30s. per ICOlb., according to quality. Steers realised £5 10s. to £9 10s.; extra, to £14 55.; heifers, £5 17s. 6d. to £i 0 2s. 6d.; cows, .£5 Eg. to £10 7s. 6d. .
