PATEN'S CHEESE TRADE.
BIG SHIPMENTS DUE HERE,
Big shiflmonts of cheese from Patea aro duo at Wellington within the next fortnight. Speaking to a reporter on' Saturday, Mr. W. Bennett, manager of the South Taranaki Steamship Co., said that during the next fifteen days his vessels had to deliver 15,000 crates of cheese from latea for transhipment to England by the New Zealand -Shipping Co.'s Remuera and tho Union Company's new steamer Westineath. This means that on an average, the three steamers belonging to his company must land IMO crates a day in Wellington. Tho holding capacities-of tho three South Taranaki Company's steamers are:—Kiripaka,.oßo crates; Mana, Given favourable weather, tho shipment Given favourable weather ,the shipment should bo brought down in ample time to catch the respective steamers for London. .
