FEILDING NEWS.
The three-mile sealed handicap run of the. Feilding Harriers' resulted as follows:—Smith, 1; J. Murray, 2; Turner, 3. There was a full muster of members of. tho Feilding Bar in the Court-houfe yesterday morning, when Mr. A. D. Thomson, S.M., and Mr. A. Richmond, senior member of tho Bar, paid tributes to tho memory of Mr. John Frier. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at the Sandon Cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. A.. Innes. Jones. A very large number followed, the cortege being representative of all the professional business, commercial, and other leading interests in the Feildiug district. A number of business places were closed during the early part of the afternoon, and the flag on the Borough Council Chambers was 1 flown at half-mast. The S.M. Court adjourned from noon till 5 p.m. as a mark of respect.
