Sir Edward Grey announced in the House of Commons yesterday that tho United States Consul from the nearest post is starting for tho Putcmayo region of Peru on Monday. The British Consul will accompany him, and will collect information as to tho actual situation in the rubber industry and the alleged maltreatment of tho natives.
