Tim Swimming Club got off the finals m tho 220 yds. handicap last night, tho winner being P. Stevens, who started from the scratch mark. The water was very cold, and made good tinio impossible. A dozen members of the local club propose taking part in the Dannevirko swimming sports on Wednesday. Court Manawatu Foresters held its usual meeting last night, C.R. Bro. A. Levy in the chair. One new member was proposed. A framed diploma and a neckribbon were presented to Bro. Weir, P.C.R., iu recognition of his services to the court.

A smoke concert is to be held at the Men s Social Club next Tuesday evening, the Rev. H. G. Roscher is arranging the programme. The Manawatu Motor Cvcle Club has arranged a run to Waikanac on Sunday next. The Wellington Club will also rendezvous there on the same dav.
