Tho West Coasters will hold their first annual picnic at Day's Bay to-day. The Duchc>s has been specially chartered to leave the Terry Wharf at 11 a.m. and to return at 6 p.m. A good sports programme has licen drawn up, which . ineludes the Premier Stakes, of 100 yds,,, open- to members of 1 Parliament only; married women's race, winner to receive ono ton of coal delivered to any part, of Iho city; tug of war'. West Coasters versus "the World." special prise. Special consideration will ho given to tho children, and parents can look forward, to the little ones having an ample supply of toys and sweets. Full details regarding the picnic are advertised in this issue.
