MR. ROOSEVELT PRESSED TO STAND. Bj Tclcemph-Pro3s Aesoria-ftan— Oosrrlcbt New York, February 11. A dramatic attempt is being made in Chicago to persuade Mr. Roosevelt to stand for tho Presidency. Eight State Governors, and a number of delegates representing twenty-eight States, met informally, and appointed a committee to approach the ox-President and ask him to become a candidate. /'ix-Governor Joseph Folk has withdrawn his candidature for the Democratic nomination for tho Presidency.
