From to-morrow practically a full train sorvico will be resumed. Mr. Denhnm, Hie Prime Minister, stated that tho unions, having singled out Brisbane for paralysis of trade, tho Government was taking action to restore the shipping, and he hoped nil trades would soon bo revived and anxiety removed. Tho Railway Commissioner announced that all tho hands who struck, except porters under eighteen, have lieen dismissed from the service. The Strike Committee is concentrating its efforts upon exhausting the coal supplies. Melbourne, February 11. Interstate shipping is resuming the normal running to Queensland ports, exclusive of Brisbane. The Trades Hall Council decided not to entertain at present, the Brisbane request to create a general striko throughout Australia. PLENTY OF COAL FOR THE RAILWAYS. STRIKERS DISCONTENTED. (Rcc. February 12, 0.20 a.m.) Brisbane, February 11. Strike matters are quiet. The Railway Department has a good supply of coal, and the Commissioner says that, augmented with wood, it will last for several months. He has determined not to order coal from Newcastle for fear of precipitating trouble there. It is stated that the Federated Seamen's Union has held a ballot on the question of returning to work, but the result has not been announced. Several waterside workers express dissatisfaction with being forced to bear the brunt of the struggle. They came out with the idea that thero would bo a general strike, and they do not relish being kept out while the others are returning to work. ALL THE COMMITTEE WANTED. Brisbane, February 10. Mr. Coyne, in announcing the fact that strikers in the northern ports were returning to work, stated that they had demonstrated their solidarity and magnificent discipline, which was all the Strike Committee wanted. LARRIKINISM OVERCOME. Brisbane, February 10. Tho strikers are behaving in an exemplary manner. The larrikin clement has been completely overcome. THF> NEW TACTICS. ; ' Sydney, February 10. The "Sydney Morning Herald" intimates that the new tactics suggest that (he Hon. W. M. Hughes (AttorneyGeneral) is advising the Brisbane Strike Committee. A WATtMNG TO ELECTORS. Brisbane, February 10. Premier Dcnham has written several letters in reply to congratulatory telegrams. An outstanding feature of the letters is a warning to the electors regarding Mr. Fisher's refusal to supply troops when legally requested to do so.
