Arnst, the champion sculler, speaking at a social function, announced that he had accepted a challenge issued by Barry on September 24 to row for tho championship of tho world and JESOO aside on the Thnmes. Ho" had booked his passago to England, leaving Sydney at the end of March. The raco would be rowed at tho end of August or early in September. Arnst accepts tho offer of .£SOO for hig expenses if no nioro is forthcoming, but hopes to get at least .£750.
