WATER-BURST IN A MINE.
» SENSATIONAL EXPERIENCES. By reletraph-Prcss Aeaociation-flODrrfehi (Rec. December 25, 5.5 p.m.) London, December 24. Eighty-soven men were cut off by n. water-burst in a pit-shuft at Wigaß. Twenty clung to tho steam pipes and resisted tho rush of the water. The rest wero helplessly washed past tho cage. Some of these climbed the pumping pipes and were later hauled to the surface. There were many remarkable escapes, the men wading breast high and beiug rescued after twelve hours. Ono old man died.
