The Stewards' Handicap maro is very well at pTesent, and she finished up her task in a pleasing manner. Undecided galloped the last six of seven furlongs in lmin. 1750e., and Gipsy Belle sprinted four furlongs in 50 l-ssec. Hawick and Espartero went once round over tho hurdles in lmin. sC;ec., and Dc-nrest left five furlongs behind in lmin. & 1-OSeC. Gold tinder, who moved rather scratchily, was sent twi:e Tound the tan at a stoady pace, and Los Angeles was restricted to half-pace work. Early' Morn covered the last three furlongs of a half-uiile gallop in SSsce., and St. Felix- and St. Petersburg galloped six furlongs in lmin. lOsec., the last five furlongs occupying lmin. 5 3-ssec. Goodwin Park ran a mile and a half in 2min. 17 3-ssec., the last four furlongs in 53;ec.

Vice-Admiral, looking very well, went once round on the tan, and sprinted the last three furlongs in 39 i-osec. Red, White and Blue went two rounds at hnlf-nnce, and Glenfield and Gaelic did a schooling task over the hurdles. Pcirc'ne did useful work, and Eangiatna sprinted four furlongs. Merry Frank ran half a mile in 51sec., and Equitas covered the last three of four furlongs in 3S=ec.

Beldame ran half a mile ill 30 3-ssec., a distajice that took Emma 33sec. to negotiate.

Gold Bird, Naumai, and Hermin arrived from Wellington this morning. While Ireland was working on the tracks this morning a stirrup leather broke, with the result that tlie jockey, F. Hutchinson, sustained a fall and received a severe shaking.
