Tho local railway employees give an emphatic denial to the statement "Inch has circulated that thoy propose to go out on strike. The question ot striking htw not 'evil boon mooted by the local branch of tho Railway Servants' Society, though there is great dissatisfaction ainong members of tho second division at tho treatment which they have received. Tho Kxecuhvo Council of the A.S.K.b. point out that a strike would result in tho disaffected servants losing their right t« superannuation, would alienate public support, and would react detrimentally on tho wives and children of men who aro not organised for that method of obtaining their demands. A strike could only bo eaTied by tho Executive Council at forty-eight hours' noticc. Nothing in tho nature of a strike need at present Iks roared.
