With the largo number of horses that arrived yesterday the course this morning bore a somewhat busy appearance, but there was very little fast galloping, half to three-quarter pacing being the rule. The new arrivals include the New Zealand Cup horses Miscount and Domino, and the Stewards' Handicap horses Full to, Formby, Hohungatahi, and Ainsdalo, all of whom are looking exceptionally well. A meeting of tho committee of tho Grey Jockey Club was held to consider the "condition of tho ground and as lo getting the programme run off. The report received stated that tho whole courso had boon under water, and tho track was oorerod with a thick sediment. Under

no possible circumstances could racing take placo this week. After discussion it was agreed to hold tho meeting about a month before Christmas, and the following motion was passed: "That the present programme bo cancelled and a fresh ono issued for the end of November and tho beginning of December."
