FOR THE MAN ON THE LAND.
Wo heard a little story the other dav about a fairly well-to-do farmer who did not worry himself much about his personal appearance. As a matter of fact, it would be statins tho case mildly if w0 said that he was somewhat shabby in his attire. However, he came to town with the intention of purchasing a motorcar—a good one. The salesman tried (o put him off by showing him the smallest car in tho garage, but no, our friend insisted on prfcing the best car and eventually purchased it. As ho was h.mdiii" over flie cheque ho casually remarked" "Thought I hadn't tho money, Eh?" Tho above may be taken to show, in a measure, the trend of thought among tho well-to-do farmers of tho Dominion. There is a desire t'o secure a more rapid moans of locomotion than has hitherto been at the disposal of tho "man on tho land.' Quite a number of farmers now possess a car of their own. The motorcar is as serviceable for tho back-country manas for the city man, and no better car is available al: the present day than tho Hupmobile. The prices of the ilupps. place them well within the reach of the average well-to-do man. There are tho ITunp. Runabout. £2-2C<; the Torpedo, .£2(10; and tho Hupp. Touring Car for four passengers at i'3lo. Another point greatly in favour of the "Hupp" besides the comparative lowness of Hie prices, is that the Hupp. Motor-Car Company guarantees the Hupmobile free from defects in materials or workmanship during the life of the car. The fullest details of these splendid cars may bo obtained from A. Hatrick and Co., North Tslanrl ogenta, Wongnnui, or from lir, It, Leicester, Wolliiigtoa,-^Advi
