DAILY SUMMARY. THE MOKAU REPORT ADOPTED. There was an air of bustle about tho stately Legislative. Couucil yestorday when the Council was bombarded with the last of the Bills from tho Houso of Representatives. During tho cast two (lays several complaints have been made as to tho Bossion-cnd rush making it impossible to give Bills tho attention they should receive. Ono of the most interesting dabates of tho session took place on tho Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill. The Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill was also the subject of a long discussion, when it returned from tho Labour Bills Committee. A number of Bills were put through all stages, and the Council rose at 0.45 a.m. They will meet again at 10. o'clock this morning to receive tho Appropriation Bill. The Houso of Representatives sat yesterday morning until 3.20 a.m., Mr. Jennings's Gaming Amendment Bill being killed after a discussion which lasted for a little less than an hour. Yesterday tho Houso spent a long day in discussing tho report of the Native Affairs Committee on tho Mokau inquiry, and at 9.15 p.m. it turned to consideration of tho Supplementary Estimates,
