A meeting of indent agents to discuss the Laud and Income Assessment Amendment Bill received a telegram from tho Prime Ministe" stating that, as the -association desired an opportunity to coneider the provisioas of the Bill, ho would not proceed with it this session, and ho '-■onld bo glad to receive any representations from the association. The remaining portion of the Surroy Hills Estate at Grey Lyim has been sold to a syndicate consisting of four Aucklanders and one southern resident for •£3i:,000. Tho area is between 50 and CO acres.
