'■•. W.F.A. COMMITTEE MEETS. : Mr. B. L. Salmon presided over tho weekly ■ meeting of tho committee of the Wellington Football Association las-teven-Discussion upon a letter received from the New Zealand- Football Association, asking for a guarantee of ,£175 for a visit of a Now South Wales team in 1911, was deferral until a future meeting.' Dick were, appointed to represent the W.F.A. at tho United Conference of all amateur sports bodies. This conference is to be held' at the Y.M.C.A. at 8 p.m. to-morrow. It was decided that' tho Sixth Division competition be closed, and that Y.M.C.A. be declared winners. "Mr. H. L. Godber,. referee in., the SwiftsCorinthians' fixture last' Saturday, '■■reported that he had ordered Ives, centreforward for Corinthians, off the field for foul play. -~ The player" in question , was severely 'cautioned,. and suspended, until March 31, 1912. •' It. announced that' a Boy Scouts' competition would be commenced on September 16, and that ten entries had been received. . . It was decided that a smoke concert bo held. on . Wednesday, September 29, and that it take the form cf a farewell to Mr'. H. N. Holmes, chairman of tho association, who is. about to leave New Zealand. .
