At SI. Paul's Presbyterian Hall on ' Tuesday night Mr. Geo. Archibald, of the Bonk of New Zealand staff, who is leaving Fcilding this week for To Awainutu, was accorded a farewell "social" by his fellow workers in the various branches of church work in which he Ims taken part during his two years' stay in this town. Ho was also uiado the recipient of two presentations. The first meeting of creditors in tnn bankrupt estate of W. T. liowaler was held at tho Courthouse yesterday afternoon, before Mr. G. J. Scott, District , Official Assignee. Bankrupt was represented by Mr. 11. 15. Murphy, and (lieu was a full attendance of FeUding lawyers, these representing various creditors. Th< bankrupt was subjected to a close examination by Mr. Louglumn, of l'nlmcrsion North (on behalf of Messrs.
