Artillery. owing, principally lo their . weight, had tile advantage, and deserved lo win, but their lighter opponents gave them many an anxious moment. On one occasion the Oriental backs broke cioir away, but what looked like a certain score was thrown away through one mail's mistake. Tor Artillery Kebble ami Taylor scored tries, and Sandman kicked a penalty-goal for Oriental. Mr, Sullivan was referee. Tramway v. Atlilctic. Tramway and Athletic played a drawn game, each side scoring G points. Tho teams were well matched, and, up till tho call of time, it was anybody's game. ]n the socond spell the Blue forwards attacked strongly, and kept Tramway well within their twenty-live. in tho" first spell Ti'axmvay had a slight advantage, and kept Athletic well in hand, but, in (he second spell (save for a brief raid into the enemy's territory) they wero kept busily (lefunding. Braniley scored a try for Tramway, and Clarke kicked a pen-alty-goal, while Anderson and flemmel obtained tries for Athletic. Mr. B. Hornig was in charge of the game.
