FEATHERSTON.
A match was played hero on Saturday between the Featherston and Cartcrton Golf Clubs, the former winning by soven games to three. The local club will send a team to Masterton on Saturday next to play against the club there. Mr. T. Walsh, from Hastings, is to take the place of Mr. A. W. Moller on the railway staff here. In view of the general support to be accorded by other similar bodies to the Conference of County Councils, to be held on August 23, and the importance of matters to be discussed thereat, the Fentherston County Council has decided to also send a delegate to tho meeting.
