Wellington. inferring to the damage that may take nlace between the discharge of New Zealand frozen meat.from tho steamers and the. time it reaches . the retailers, the Smithfield correspondent of an Australian paper says tho position is infinitely better now .tlinn it was a few years ago, when the vessels wore very imperfect in carrying meat. The value of the mutton and lamb exported from Wellington for tho month or.ded yesterday was JM4,fiSl. This represents 43,1.13 carcasses mutton and 3.1,313 carcasses lamb together with a corvsign-ir-c-nt of logs and pieces. Tho beef export for the month was rained at =£5050, wool X 17.955, and flax ,67952.
