WORKERS' CAR AND FARES.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CONDUCTORS. The prevailing system of workers' cars •and fares is to be superseded on and after Monday next. This is to be effected by the issue (within tho city) of workers' return tickets on all cars leaving a city , terminus at or beforo 7.30 a.m. on week days. The following tickets will be provided for the city system :—(1) Available for return over any -'■two city sections, 2d.; (2) available for , return over any three city sections, 3d.; ■(3) available for return over any four 'city sections, 4d. The face of each ticket bears the following particulars:— '"Available for return over same section iantl on day of issue only, by any car !leaving a city terminus up to 1.30 p.m. ■on' Saturdays ; and 6.30 p.m. on any •other week days." As the minimum value of: these return tickets is twopence, ordinary penny check-tickets must be is- ' sued to passengers riding one section only. The, following list shows tho last car on each route on which workers' return tickets are to be issued:— Island Bay to Lambton Station, depart 7.27 a.m.; Lambton Station to Island Bay, 7.24 a.m.; Newtown to Gardens, 7.30 a.m.; Gardens to Newtown, 7.30 a.m.; Constable Street to Lambton- Station," 7.25 a.m-'s-iLaiiibton Station to Constable Street, ,7.23 a.m.; Oriental Bay to Thonidon Quay, 7.29 a.m.; Thorndon to Oriental Bay, 7.23 :a.m.; .Wallace Street to Lambton Station', 7.28 a.m.; Lambton Station .to | (Wallace. Street, 7.23 a.m.; Aro Street to Lambton Station, 7.27 a.m.; Lamb'ton'Station to Aro Street, 7.22 a.m.; • Brooklyn to Manners Street, 7.27 a.m.; Manners Street to Brooklyn, 7.22 a.m.; Lyall Bay to Lambton Station, 7.24 a.m.; Larabton Station to Lyall Bay, j 7.16 a.m.; Kilbirnie to Station, 7.28 a.m.; Station to Kilbirnie, 7.26 a.m.; Seatoun to Lambton Station, 7.6 a.m.; Lambton Station to Seatoun, 7.6 a.m.; Miramar to Station, 6.55 a.m.; Lambton Station to Miramar, 7.26 a.m. < / No workers' return tickets are to be issued on any car leaving Lambton Station after 7.30 a.m., nor accepted for return on any car leaving Lambton Station, or any other city terminus, sifter 1.30 p.m. on Saturdays, and 6.30 p.m. on other week days. On the Karori section 2d. workers'return tickets will be issued, available hetween Gardens and Karori Cemetery. These will ho issued on cars leaving Newtown at 6.10 a.m., 6.30 a.m., and 6.-50 a.m., and on the car leaving Karori Cemetery at 7.13 a.m., and will be availablo for return on cars leaving Garderfs and Cemetery at or before 1.30 p.m. on Saturdays and 6.30 on other .Week days.
