They total 2102j as compared with'l767 for tho previous year, sliowing an advaneo of 335. In tho section for horses there aro 352 entries, against 338 for tho preceding year. Thoro aro 188 entries for competitions, as against 175,, and 265 for cattlo, as against 251. Tho division for' sheep has attracted 741' entries; last year there wero only 611'. -In tho section for dogs and pigs there- is a slight falling off, tho figures being 52 as against 63 for dogs and 25 as compared with 52 for pigs. Theproduce division claims a total of 276 entries, as compared with 181 for tho year preceding, whilo tho section devoted to horticulture has a total of 203 entries, those for tho previous: year totalling 96. In addition to these therearc'232 entries for the pigeon race, making a grand total of 2431. •
