Mr. M. G. Jessett,' a- vice-president of the Navy League in London, was among tho passengers who arrived in Wellington by the Athenic yesterday. Mr. Jessett is on pleasure bent, but intends during his stay here to make himself i'tillv acquainted with the progress ,of the Navy League movement in New Zealand. Miss W. L. Boys-Smith, who has-been appointed to a lectureship at Otago jjniversitir, arrived in Wellington by. the Athenic yesterday, i and went south by .the Maori last'evening.
