THE BILL ASSAILED, By Telegraph—Press Association—Coiij-richU ,(Rec, January 22, 5.10 p.m.) New York, January 21. The Ocean Mail Bounty Bill has been bitterly assailed in the United States Senate. The measure is intended to buttress the falling American marine, and its critics contonded that it was a wedge making a way for a general Ship Sub-, sidy Bill, involving' an expenditure of twenty millions sterling annually.
