HOME RULE IN 1912.

MR.. REDMOND'S PREDICTION. 8y TeloErapli—Press Association—Copyright. London, January 19. After predicting that Ircialul would liavo Homo Rule in 1912, Mr. J. E. llodmond, chairman of tho Nationalist Parliamentary- Party, speaking at Dnb,lin, quoted Lord'Courtney of Pensvith's letter to Mr. Sexton,. chairman of tho \ "Freeman's Journal" Newspaper Company, in rhich Lord Courtney pleaded fpr a period of calm discussion on tho Homo Rulo question, and suggested proportional representation in connection with an ultimato Irish Parliament. Mr. Redmond remarked that tho letter showed that reasonable Unionists recognised that Homo Rulo was inevitable. Ha agreed with its spirit. What Nationalists wanted was a Parliament that would bo representative of every clement in tho country. While Ministers stood to their pledges the Nationalists would stand by tho Ministers, but the smallest deviatiou from tho pledges regarding tho Lords' veto and Homo Rulo would mean instant change in tho Nationalist policy. "AN IMMEDIATE SETTLEMENT." January 20. Mr. John Rodmond, in a letter to Cardinal Moran, dated December 12, says:—"Nothing can now happen to jeopardise tho' overwhelming • majority against the veto of, tho Housoof Lords, and in favour : of Homo Rule for Ireland. Everything points to an immediate settlement of the Irish National question." Ho thanks the Irishmen of Australia ■ for . their magnificent support.
