This shoal, which bears Kaikoura Peninsula extreme N. 13 degrees E., Amuri Bluif, extreme N. 9 degrees W., and Point Gibson extreme S. 20 degrees W. (all hearings magnetic) was therefore • found to be 2 miles N. 2 1 ) degrces W. of its chartered position, and 3 miles S. 80 degrees E. of.Madena River. ' , On Wednesday tho Marine • Department were advised by telegram that a fisherman named Buskitt had.found a rocky patch, lj miles S.E. of the above shoal, consisting of three pinnacle rocks, ono with 18ft. of water on it, and the others 19ft. and 21ft. of water on them respectively. . Ail tho rocks are clcso together, in an area of 30 square feet, and mariners arc warned* accordingly. .
